National Youth Arts Wales has launched its series of concert programmes featuring its trio of national ensembles — the National Youth Orchestra of Wales, the National Youth Brass Band of Wales and the National Youth Choir of Wales.
They will perform at various venues across Wales, with Matthew Jones, Senior Producer and Deputy Chief Executive at National Youth Arts Wales telling 4BR: "This is a landmark summer for young Welsh artists — bringing together our most talented young musicians, world-class musical direction, and stunning venues in a true celebration of Wales' musical future."
National Youth Brass Band of Wales
It will see the National Youth Brass Band of Wales led by Paul Holland, returns to conduct the band in a programme full of demanding music, and featuring percussionist Jordan Ashman, the 2022 BBC Young Musician of the Year.
Concert will take place on 21st August (7.30pm) at William Aston Hall in Wrexham, followed by Aberystwyth Arts Centre (22nd August at 7.30pm) and The Riverfront, Newport (23rd August at 3.00pm)

Orchestra and Choir
The National Youth Orchestra of Wales will be led by conductor Kwamé Ryan with an all-American programme featuring Bernstein's 'Symphonic Dances from West Side Story' and Gershwin's 'Porgy and Bess: A Symphonic Picture'
These will be featured on 31st July (7.30pm) at St David's Cathedral as part of the Fishguard Festival of Music, followed by 1st August (2.15pm) at Hereford Cathedral (Three Choirs Festival); 2nd August (2.30pm) at St Asaph Cathedral and 3rd August (3.00pm) at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
The National Youth Choir of Wales directed by Tim Rhys-Evans, will perform at St Asaph Cathedral (23rd August at 7.30pm); 24th August (TBC) at St Fagan's National Museum of History, and on 25th August (3.00pm) at Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.
