The South Wales Police Band recently took the stage to play their part in the annual Weymouth Armed Forces Weekend.
Saturday saw the band perform a trio of programmes on the town's esplanade, sharing the stage with local harmony group, The Decadets.
Performances and parade
Joined by members of the Wessex Band, Weymouth Concert Brass and a few new faces the programmes ranged the ubiquitous 'Floral Dance' to 'A Tribute to Whitney Houston', and just about everything else in between.
Sunday saw the band lead a parade of several hundred people to mark the service of the Armed Forces, playing a new march, 'Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum', arranged by MD Alex Scaife-McGee.
It comprised a medley of naval tunes as the band lead the Royal Navy contingent in marching through the town.
Highlight
Alex told 4BR: "Weymouth is always a highlight of the band's calendar and it is wonderful to take part in such a moving tribute to the UK and allied veterans."
