Garry Cutt and colleagues will offer a warm musical welcome to delegates on this year's Fermanagh & Tyrone Brass Band Summer School.

The course takes place in Enniskillen

The town of Enniskillen is to once again host the Fermanagh & Tyrone Brass Band Summer School (FTBBSS).

Sponsored by Besson, the 13th edition of the course boasts will see over 80 participants from across the UK and Ireland enjoy the opportunity to work under the guidance of a tutor team led by Musical Director Garry Cutt and musicians Tom Smith, Dewi Griffiths, Owen Farr, Amy Ewen, Mick Marshall and Les Neish.

Varied schedule

Spokesperson, Stephen Crooks told 4BR: "The course has a well-respected reputation for offering a rich and varied schedule.

This will include full band and sectional rehearsals, workshops, participation in the Whit Friday contest, solo classes, tutor solo showcases, private lessons, and a conductor workshop."

The three-day course will culminate in two concerts: an open-air afternoon performance in the heart of Enniskillen and a grand finale concert in the evening.

Increased commitment

Stephen added: "In 2025 we have further increased our commitment and offering under the FTBBSS banner.

This includes the successful 'Besson Brass Weekend' in County Limerick earlier this year and the forthcoming 'Brass Fest at the Diamond' — and outdoor festival will feature 15 bands from across Ireland."
