Tewit Youth Band has made it to the silver screen to play to the biggest auditorium audience in the banding world this year.
The Harrogate band and their MD, Martin Hall is making an appearance in the brand new Downton Abbey film, which is released today released today.
Grand Finale
'Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale' can be seen in cinemas and comes three years after the last hit release. Set in the early 1930s it follows the Crawley family and their ever loyal staff as they face the challenges of a new era.
The band not only features on screen but also recorded some of the music used in the production, adding authentic brass sounds to the world of the Crawley family and their estate.
Incredible honour
Speaking about the exciting news, Martin Hall told 4BR: "It's been an incredible honour for our young musicians to be part of such a beloved series and films.
Recording the soundtrack and appearing on screen gave the band an unforgettable insight into the film making process, and we're thrilled to finally be able share our news with the public having had to keep our spoiler alert a secret for over 12 months."

Youth development
The film appearance is the latest major high profile boost for the band which was formed in 1978 and has become a beacon of youth development both on and off the contest platform.
Audiences can hear and see the Tewit Youth Band in Downton Abbey, in UK cinemas from Friday 12th September.
