The Hammonds Band has announced the signing of Noah Mallinson as their new flugel horn.

The Bradford based player is the principal flugel horn with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and is a student at Chethams School of Music. A former member of the BD1 Brass, where he started playing aged 8, he eventually joined City of Braford Band in 2024 where he became principal cornet in 2025.

Strong impression

On welcoming him to the band, MD Musical Director Morgan Griffiths commented: "Noah has fitted in incredibly well. His playing, attitude, and musical awareness have already made a strong impression on all of us, and we are very excited to have him as part of the Hammonds team."

Hammonds Band also took the opportunity to thank Catherine Owen for her time with them and wished her every success for the future.
