Oldroyd Musical Instruments Ltd has announced that Richard Marshall has become the company's first Musical Instruments Ambassador.
Richard, who performs exclusively on the Oldroyd Evo Cornet, will continue to test both the Evo and Opus 7 cornet ranges, as well as help promote and develop the brand as it continues to make a mark in the global brass band instrument sector.
Significant development
The appointment marks another significant development in the cornet star's post Black Dyke career, with Richard set to take the BTM Band at the Welsh Regional Championships, as well as strengthening his link to the NASUWT Riverside Band, the Festival Brass Band in Belgium and his work at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
Proud
Speaking to 4BR, Richard said: "Further enhancing my partnership with Tim and Oldroyd Musical Instruments in this exciting role is something I'm proud of.
I hope to be able to further raise the brands profile and develop and promote the range of Oldroyd Musical Instruments wherever I go."
Pleasure
In response, Oldroyd Musical Instruments CEO, Tim Oldroyd, added: "I'm thrilled to welcome Richard as an Ambassador. Working with him is a real pleasure — his professionalism and commitment to the brass band movement is second to none and his understanding of player's needs and requirements is remarkable. This is a fantastic development for the company."
