Ellerby and Harper to lead on-line test-piece workshop

Composers Martin Ellerby and Philip Harper will take the opportunity to talk about their Championship and Second Section set-works in a special free on-line workshop.

Brass Bands England in partnership with the Brass Band Conductors Association (BBCA) is to host a free Area test-piece workshop evening.

It will be led by composers Martin Ellerby and Philip Harper who will take the opportunity to talk about their Championship and Second Section set-works, 'Elgar Variations' and '20,000 Leagues under the Sea' to offer insight and explanation ahead of the 2026 series of contests.

Each will talk about their work for around 30 minutes followed by a Q&A session.

It starts at 7.00pm on Wednesday 18th February and should conclude at 8.30pm.
