Hade Edge Band has appointed Dean Redfern as its new Musical Director.

He has moved from BMP (Europe) Goodshaw Band whom he recently led to a fifth-place finish at the recent North West Regional Championship. The experienced conductor has worked successfully with the likes of Boarshurst and Uppermill as well as being a player with Brighouse & Rastrick.

A spokesperson told 4BR: "We are delighted to welcome Dean as we begin a new chapter in rebuilding the band. Dean brings with him a vast amount of experience in banding which we are sure will be of huge benefit and bring success."
