The popular Fermanagh/Tyrone Brass Band Summer School (FTBBSS) has welcomed participants across Ireland and the UK under a team led by Musical Director Garry Cutt, alongside tutors Dewi Griffiths, Tom Smith, Owen Farr, Lucy Cutt, Mick Marshall, Chris Robertson, and Les Neish.

Wide variety

The 80 participants are already enjoying a wide variety of activities (including being recorded for a future episode of the 'That's Not Banding' podcast) with full-band rehearsals, sectional sessions, workshops, solo classes, a test piece sight-reading session, and open-air concerts before the event is rounded off with a concert on Saturday 18th July at Devenish College.

Welcome

Course Director Stephen Crooks told 4BR: "This is our 14th course and the event continues to go from strength to strength. We're excited to welcome our new participants alongside our dedicated regulars, who have been with us throughout the course's development.

Our goal is to foster a sense of community among brass players from Ireland and beyond, connecting for this three-day event."
