BrookWright Music is helping mark the 80th birthday celebrations of Scottish composer and arranger Dr. Kenneth Downie.
The personal milestone will be highlighted this evening (Friday 2nd October — 7.30pm) with a special concert at the Royal College of Music in London dedicated to his music, featuring the International Staff Band and the International Staff Songsters.
The event promises to be full of his inspiring brass and vocal music, honoring one of the movement's most respected and enduring musical figures.
Immeasurable
Renowned for his distinct harmonic language, lyrical warmth, and technical mastery, his works—ranging from major test pieces such as 'Purcell Variations' and 'St. Magnus' to a host of popular concert pieces.
