Seaman on the mend

Nigel Seaman is on the long road to full recovery after his accident last Novemeber.

Seaman

Following his altercation with a motor car back in November, conductor and orchestral tuba player Nigel Seaman has told 4BR that he is making slow but steady progress in his efforts to get back to full mobility.

Long period

Nigel told 4BR: "The accident resulted in a fracture of the Talus bone, which is the ‘hinge’ between the lower leg and foot. Surgeons have told me that it’s one of the worst bones to fracture (typical!)and that a long period of non-weight bearing is necessary."

Happily the end of his enforced rest is in site though; "Thankfully, that period is now coming to an end and although I’ve been signed off from work for the rest of January, I hope to be back in full swing from February onwards."

Thanks

"In the meantime," he added: "I’d like to offer my sincerest thanks to all those who’ve sent me their good wishes in the last few weeks. It’s been very much appreciated and in return I’d like to wish everyone a ‘Happy New Year’ and much success with your banding in 2008."
