At the Newhall Concert Band's recent annual social and presentation evening their 'Bandperson of the Year' was awarded to Patricia Woodings and 'Most Improved Player of the Year' was awarded to Sam Halton.

The band also welcomes new Musical Director Alan Morris.

Becky Stonehouse on behlaf of the band told 4BR: "Alan comes with a wealth of experience in the brass banding world. The band are very pleased with this appointment and feel that under new leadership the band will move forward successfully."
