New youth launch in Wales

The Vale of Glamorgan Band has launched a new youth band.

The Vale of Glamorgan Band with the support of new commercial sponsors have recently launched it’s own youth band, with the long term aim of offering up and coming brass students an opportunity to perform and compete across the Principality, and beyond.

The band will offer tuition at all levels from a team of experienced and qualified musicians4BR

Tuition

The band will offer tuition at all levels from a team of experienced and qualified musicians. The team has secured the services of Dave Short BA(Hons) to head this project and with over 30 years experience at the top level of banding the Youth band has been given the strongest possible start.

The band will meet from 6.30pm to 7.30pm on Monday evenings at the Music Centre, which can be located at the Barry Athletic Ground (upper car park) on Barry Island.

The band has amassed a stock of instruments which will be allocated on a first come first served basis – so whether you are a raw beginner or have been learning an instrument already, why not take advantage of this excellent opportunity and be part of a new and exciting project being made available to the brass students of the Vale of Glamorgan.

Contact

We look forward to welcoming all brass players out there or even young people who have never played before and wish to start.

For further details please contact Dave Short at md.vogband@yahoo.co.uk for more details or tel: 07770951908.
