Fairey set for Festival

After taking part at Blackpool this weekend, Fairey will be looking towards their appearance at the Deutsche Rundfunk (WDR) International Brass Festival in April.

The Fairey Band has announced that they have been invited to perform at the West Deutsche Rundfunk (WDR) International Brass Festival, on the 10th April.

All things brass

In addition to Fairey, Mnozil Brass and Brass Band Berner Oberland will be performing during the five day celebration of all things brass.

The 45 minute programme, chosen for Fairey's will include 'Russlan and Ludmilla', 'Force of Destiny' and 'The Corsair', and will be recorded for live broadcast by WDR.

This invitation further demonstrates that the Fairey Band are once again regaining the status within the banding world that this famous name should affordMD, Phil Chalk
