The Longridge Band has announced the new singings of Chris Larder, Gareth Nelson, Rob Johnson, Tom Johnson and John Dickinson.

Chris joins on solo euphonium and has helped out the band on many occasions. He has accepted the position after the departure of Martin Bridges. Meanwhile Gareth Nelson comes in on second baritone. Gareth was a member of Longridge Band before leaving to further his professional careerand returns after a spell with Morecambe Band.

Longridge welcome all these new players and look forward to great success in the future. With this line up of players we are busy preparing for Tameside Contest and their annual Patron’s Concert later this monthLongridge Band

Cornet strength

The cornet section has been strengthened their Rob on bumper up, Tom on soprano and John on repiano. These players all joined in January 2008 from Hesketh Band.
