West Mercia raise funds

The Band of West Mercia Constabulary has recently been raising funds for a great cause.

The Band of West Mercia Constabulary recently raised £2,400 for The Severn Rotary Club in Worcester.

Conducted by Steve Pritchard-Jones the band performed a variety of music including a new work written by Dennis Masters for the band and will be performed at the Stourport-on-Severn Proms later in the year.

The band is in for a busy few months including a their first CD recording to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the West Mercia Constabulary, and in July they will visit Cornwall for a week of concerts in the county4BR

Frequent visitor

Dennis is a frequent visitor to the band, his son in law plays soprano cornet and several of the band are ex members of Langley Band who were conducted by Dennis.

Busy
