Taylor off to Scotland

Howard Taylor, Musical Director of Brisbane Excelsior, quietly slipped out of the land downunder today, in search of more success.

Howard Taylor

Howard Taylor, fast becoming one of the most successful conductors in history of brass banding in the Southern Hemisphere, heads to the opposite side of the globe to prepare and direct the scottish band, Kirkintilloch, for the European Championships in Stavanger, early May.

Taylor is extremely determined to improve upon his record with Kirkintilloch which to date includes a result both the band and Taylor would care not to remember at the Scottish Open late last year.

I'm really looking forward to working with Kirkintilloch once again. Both the band and I are ready to work hard in an intense lead up to the Europeans.Howard Taylor

Certainly Kirkintilloch have shown good form lately with their performance at the regionals under Selmer Simonsen.

Following the Europeans, the roaming lad from Cornwall, will then hot foot it back to Oz to whip Brisbane Excelsior into shape, in its quest to make it 6 National championships in a row, as it defends its New Zealand championship title in July.
