Exam time for MA students

Three tralented MA students at Durham University are to go through their final steps this weekend — and could do with a bit of support!

The Examination Concert for MA students at Durham University will be held this weekend when three talented young tyros will be out through their paces with the help of the Fishburn Band.

Talented trio

Chris Evans (MA Recital) will direct 'Missa Brevis', a new work for solo percussion and laptop accompaniment by Chris Evans, as well as 'Concerto for Timpani and Wind Band' by Jacobs arranged by Chris Evans)

Huw Thomas (MA Conducting) meanwhile will direct in 'Fortinbras- The Prince of Norway’s March' by Shostakovich (arranged- Harriet Wybor) as well as 'Tallis Variations' by Philip Sparke.

Finally, Chris Evans (MA Recital) will direct 'Lacrimosa' by Mozart arranged by himself as well as 'Connotations' by Edward Gregson.

It all takes place on Sunday 15th June at 6.00pm at the Concert Hall,
Music Department, Durham University.
