4BR has been informed that Camborne's partnership with their Professional Musical Advisor, Frank Renton, has come to an end this week after seven enjoyable years.

Time for change

Frank Renton has commented: "Our professional relationship has lasted for some seven years now and I feel that it is time for a change for both the band and me."

He added: "Now, under the umbrella of Camborne Town Band Music Society, there is a thriving Youth Band and a 'B' Band, under the leadership of Alan Pope, and young people who have progressed through the system and routinely joining the Town Band in the Championship Section.

This is, I believe, music making in the community at it's best and I wish Chairman, Marcus Dunstan, and everyone involved with Camborne Town Band Music Society continued success."
