The last of the three heats of the Kippax Band Entertainment Contest took place last weekend when EYMS booked their place in the final in November by beating rivals Pennine Brass.

Both competing bands played highly entertaining and challenging programmes which a capacity audience at the Kippax Band club appreciated, but adjudicator Colin Hardy just fancied the band from the North of Engand a touch more and put them through, where they will join previous heat winners Drighlington and Harrogate to battle it out for the overall title on the 9th November.
