The Burbage Silver Band was recently awarded 3rd place out of nine entries at the West Midlands Brass Band Association Fourth Section contest.

Second appearance

This was only the bands second contest in the last 15 years. The week before they competed in the Leicestershire BBA Fourth Section contest coming equal 6th out of nine entries.

Determination

The band was down to a handful of players last year but thanks to the determination of a couple of members and their new MD they now have over twenty dedicated players.

The players are now looking forward to the Midlands Area Championship contest in March.
