End of Year events

With Xmas fast approaching, many bands are celebrating the end of the banding year.

Across Australia and New Zealand, band Associations are in the midst of end of year concerts, celebrations and presentation events.

In Rockhampton

Coming up for Rockhamption band, Capricornia Silver Band Inc., is its evening entitled "A Christmas Festival". This will be the 15th consecutive year presenting this concert, which features a variety of artists.

In Victoria

The Victorian Bands League held its VBL Showcase 2008 yesterday — news should be coming through shortly on the awards presented there.

In Brisbane

Brisbane Excelsior band held its Annual Presentation evening on the weekend.

A highlight of this was the award of Life Membership to Ashley Gittins, for distinguished service to the Brisbane Excelsior Association.
