Hammonds excited by Bradford return

Hammonds Saltaire look forward to Bradford return — with the help of a bit of 'Quality Plus'.

With the news that the name of Hammonds will be returning home to Bradford for the first time in over 16 years at the Yorkshire Regional Championships, their MD has spoken about how special he feels the appearance will be.

The last time the band performed as ‘Hammonds’ in Bradford was back in late 1992, and it means an emotional return for Musical Director Morgan Griffiths.

He told 4BR: "We are very much looking forward to going back to Bradford. As a former Hammonds player myself, it was always very special for us to play in front of our home town audience."

He added: "We have a special treat for our supporters in future too as we will from now on be playing the old Hammonds Band signature march ‘Quality Plus’ which we have dusted down from the bands archives."
