Brass Band Bürgermusik Luzern (BML) has announced its successor to
Principal Conductor Ludwig Wicki.

In August, the respected Michael Bach will assume the Principal Conductor position.

The young conductor presently lives close to the band in Berne. He is a graduate of the Berne University of Arts, where he completed his
conducting studies under the direction of Professor Ludwig Wicki, Oliver Waespi and Thomas Rüedi after winning the Swiss Conductors Competition in 2006.

Guest conductor

This year he will be guest conductor for both the National Youth Wind
Orchestra and the National Youth Brass Band of Switzerland.

He has also conducted Ensemble de Cuivres Euphonia, twice winning National titles in the 2007 and 2008. He assumes the principal
conductor position of the BML from Professor Wicki, who had directed the BML for 19 years.
