Cory Band consolidates its position as the number one band in the World of Brass – 4barsrest.com World Rankings following the retention of its European Championship title in Ostend last weekend.

Outstanding placings in Ostend by Brass Band Treize Etoiles from Switzerland and Eikanger-Bjørsvik from Norway see both breaking into the top ten for the first time and, with four overseas bands now occupying top-12 positions, the leading Continental bands now appear to be stronger than ever.

Top 10 bands 1. Cory 2. Grimethorpe Colliery 3. Foden's 4. Black Dyke 5. Brighouse and Rastrick 6. Stavanger 7. Brass Band Treize Etoiles 8. Eikanger-Bjørsvik 9. Leyland 10. Fairey
