Haydn Griffiths MBE, Musical Director of Armthorpe Elmfield Band has received a well deserved award to commemorate 75 years in brass banding.

He was presented with the award at the Salvation Army Lakeside Community Church during the band’s 'Brass and Voices' concert on 30th May.

Remarkable

His CV is quite remarkable, as a player, conductor and teacher, with him playing for just about every sort of brass related ensemble from jazz to orchestra and brass bands, as well as conducting bands at just about every level too — from the Fourth Section up to Black Dyke.

A remarkable man indeed!
