New signings and returns boost cooperation

A number of new signings and returning players have given the cooperation band a boost ahead of their Scottish Championship challenge.

  The cooperation band will head to Perth for the Scottish Championship

With the Scottish Championship taking place this weekend in Perth, the cooperation band has announced a number of new signings and welcome returnees as they look to claim the title for the first time since 2016.

Players

Strengthening the cornet section are the experienced Alex Ramsay and Scott Walker who between them have more than a few treasured Scottish Championship winners medals.

The band is also welcomes Andy Mcindoe on cornet, Kenny Brown on BBb Bass, Chris Mansfield on trombone and Robbie Bremner on percussion.

The new signings and the return of former valued players are having a very positive effect on the band ahead of Perthcooperation band.

Lifted spirits

Speaking about the new signings a band spokesman told 4BR: "The last 12 months have been difficult for the band, but the recent support from the Scotmid Cooperative as well as the assistance from Geneva has lifted the spirits.

The new signings and the return of former valued players are having a very positive effect on the band ahead of Perth.

Under the baton of Russell Gray we are working hard and looking forward to taking to the stage under our new name for the first time."
