The organisers of the inaugural BrassPass.tv UK 'Band of the Year' contest have announced the draw for the event which will be held at The Stoller Hall in Manchester on Saturday 22nd June.

Nine bands will each perform a 30-minute programme of substantive own-choice repertoire that must include a solo item.

The organisers told 4BR: "These major works will be included in incredible programmes which will make for a mouthwatering day of contesting.

They added: "We are extremely grateful to Hammonds Band for taking the place at relatively short notice of Whitburn who have unfortunately had to withdraw from the event due to an unavoidable clash of local commitments."
