Just days before their appearance at the First Section National Final in Cheltenham, Yeovil Band has been struck by the news that they had to vacate their bandroom until further notice.
Vacated
Their rehearsal facilities have been part of the Sports & Leisure complex owned by Agusta Westland helicopters who unfortunately have taken the business decision to close the facility until further notice.
However, thanks to the wonderful generosity of banding friends Sherborne Town Band, Yeovil has been able to rehearse at their home for the foreseeable future.
Thanks
Yeovil Band Chairman Kevin Robbins told 4BR: "This has been a fantastic gesture by Sherborne and on behalf of Yeovil Band I would like to thank them very much indeed.
I'm sure everyone would agree that this is banding at its best, and gives us some breathing space until something can be sorted in the not too distant future."
No loss of confidence
The upset though hasn't spoiled the confidence of the West of England contender as they look forward to their Cheltenham assault, especially as they have been very busy in the transfer market place of late.
