The consistency of Foden’s Band over the past two major contests sees the Cheshire-based band back at the top of the World of Brass—4barsrest Rankings for the first time since 2003.

Black Dyke’s 21st victory at the National Final in the Royal Albert Hall last Saturday ensures that the Yorkshire giant will end the year in fourth spot, but the top three will fight it out for end-of-year honours at Brass in Concert, at which Foden’s, Grimethorpe and Cory all have a chance of becoming the number one ranked band for 2008.
