Advert: Rayburn Tours

The Rhineland — the perfect band tour destination.

Rayburn Tours

As the latest staff addition to Rayburn Tours, I have been fortunate enough to spend some quality time getting to know the Concert Tours team and understanding what it takes to make a perfect band tour.

So popular

In 2010 one of the most popular destinations for bands is the Rhineland – so I set out to discover what it is that makes the Rhineland so popular!

Why do bands choose the Rhineland?

Renowned for its appreciation of band music, friendly people and exceptional concert venues, coupled with picturesque villages, charming wine-growing districts and romantic castles, the Rhineland is a perfect base for any band looking for an all-encompassing tour!

It’s no surprise to us that our last two groups, Muker Silver Band and Heathfield Silver Band, returned with raging reviews of their trip.

Here are just some of their highlights.

Festivals take place throughout the summer and our Concert Tours team know the best time to visit to suit your band’s styleRayburn Tours

Festivals

"We played on a purpose built stage for the Rüdesheimer Weinfest, this was definitely the highlight of the week! The venue was superb and the audience very appreciative of our playing. This is an event we would recommend to other groups.". Mr A. Guy, Muker Silver Band.

The Rüdesheimer Weinfest is just one of the many wine festivals that take place in the Rhineland during the summer months.

Multiple outdoor stages and enthusiastic audiences create the perfect atmosphere for your band’s performance, and afterwards, there’s plenty of samples on offer to quench your thirst.

Spectacular Venues

"An altogether exceptional concert hall, excellent acoustics and great hosts. They even gave us a mascot for the performance!" R. Sherlock from Heathfield Silver Band commenting on their performance in the Marmorsaal at the Bad Ems Kurhaus.

Impressive

Bands can take their pick from an impressive list of performance venues in and around the region.

Why not put the amazing acoustics of the Florinskirche church to the test, or take to the revolving stage at the spa resort of Bad Neuenahr where audiences regularly flock to attend performances?

Fascinating Excursions

In addition to spectacular venues, bands can take their pick from the selection of memorable excursions on offer to keep you entertained between performances.

Sample true Rhineland culture with a wine tasting session in one of the local vineyards or take a cruise along the Rhine and marvel at the many castles perched high on the rocky crags.

For the more adventurous, the chairlift at Boppard is a must in order to see this amazing region in panoramic style.

Looking Forward to 2011

With a vast array of concert halls and venues to choose from, and an impressive selection of excursions to explore, there is certainly something for everyone in this truly charming destination.

Tours for 2011 are booking up fast as many bands take advantage of this incredible tour location.
