There can’t have been any more delighted a player in Harrogate on the weekend than tenor horn player Andy Harrop of Rivington & Adlington Band, who took the ‘Best Instrumentalist’ award in the Fourth Section.

Andy told 4BR that his celebrations (and great ones they were too as he went to ick up his well deserved award from the Conference Centre stage) was due to the fact that he had made the decision to return to banding after a year away, and found the atmosphere and friendship at the North West outfit something that has renewed his enthusiasm for banding.
