The St Dennis Band has announced the appointment of Garry Lannie as their new resident MD.

No stranger

Garry is no stranger to the band having played solo horn for them between 2002 and 2004 before taking up his conducting career with Launceston Town followed by a successful period with St Breward who he led to the Fourth Section National title in Harrogate in September.

Youth role

As well as conducting the senior St Dennis Band band, Garry will also be fulfilling the role of MD of the Youth Band.

Pros

The band also welcome Derek Greenwood as a professional conductor and musical advisor.

Derek will direct St Dennis at the forthcoming SWBBA contest at Torquay on the 7th November.

The band have booked the services of Phillip Harper for the West of England Regional contest in March.
