The Newhall Band has been celebrating their recent win at the West Midlands Brass Bands Association Contest held at Leamington Spa.

Their performance of 'Music for a Festival' by Philip Sparke beat off their rivals to give the band victory and a huge boost to their confidence.

Delighted

MD Kevin Holdgate, told 4BR: "The band members are delighted with the result. At the same event last year, we won second prize, but this is our first win for a few years. We are hoping for a similar result at the forthcoming Leicestershire Brass Band Association contest too."
