Cologne Concert Brass in Germany are showing the way forward for the emerging brass band movement in the country after they announced that its own youth band is set to make its first appearance at the German National Championships in May.

Adjudication

Young CCB will be directed by Martyn Bennett in Duisburg in May in a performance that although not part of the overall competition will still attract a critical adjudication.

Flemish Open

Meanwhile, the senior Cologne Concert Brass will also broaden their competitive horizons by appearing at the Flemish Open Championships' in Belgium in April.

The band will also be preparing to defend their German National title in the Mercatorhalle in Duisburg and will also be taking part in the first entertainment contest to be held at the event.
