Doc Martin still needs entries

With £4,000 up for grabs to the winners, there are still places on offer at the Doc Martin Wainstones Cup Contest.

The Doctor Martin Trust Wainstones Cup Championship Contest has announced that its entry list will close soon — although they are still somewhat surprisingly, given that the top prize is £4,000, still in need of entries.

The contest is to be held on Saturday 17th July in the Gala Theatre, Durham City following the bequest of a substantial trust fund by
Dr Ian Martin.

7 bands have already entered and entries are still being taken up to a maximum of 15 championship section bands.

Interested bands should visit the contest’s website — www.doctormartintrust.com where all the details can be found.

The entry fee for the contest is £75 but all bands that appear will receive a cheque for £200 on the day.

Entries close on Saturday 12th June.

Welcome

The draw for the order of play will be held at Cockerton Band and Musical Institute on Wednesday 16th June, all participating bands are welcome to send a representative – time and directions will appear on the website.
