Barnton Silver Band recently entertained a specially invited audience at the launch of the Weaver Hall Museum & Workhouse in Northwich.

The new local history museum is housed in the former Northwich Union Workhouse dating from 1837.

Civic dignitaries, museum staff and more than 100 guests enjoyed a performance which included solos by Tim Page, Gerry Moylan, Mike Miller and Martin Wild.

The most frequent request of the night was, "Will you come and perform here again".
