The iconic Derek Bourgeois test piece is the top section work for the Belgian Nationals later this year.

The Belgian National Championship organisers VLAMO have announced the test pieces for this year's contest which will take place on Sunday November 28th at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven.

Seven up

For the first time in Belgian banding history the Championship Section will see seven bands battle it out for the title and the invitation to the 2011 European Brass Band Championships in Switzerland.

Interesting choices

First Section bands will have to get to grips with the full band version of Howard Snell's 'Images of the Millennium', whilst in the Second Section Peter Graham's 'Rennaisance' has been chosen.

There is an interesting choice in the Third Section with Derek Broadbent's 'Paintings'.
