Nine bands

Although the reasons behind the decision are not yet clear, if confirmed, the field of bands would be reduced to just 9 competitors.

The organisers had already amended the contest day to take into account a reduction of the field to 11 bands less than a fortnight ago.

Not competing

In recent weeks, Carlton Main, Zone One, Wire Brass and Camborne have all informed the organisers, the British Federation of Brass Bands of their intention not to take up their invitations.

Further details will be published on 4BR as soon as we are informed.
