It has been a busy 2010 so far for young Welsh composer and conductor, Tom Davoren, who is celebrating this summer with a world premiere and the release of a brand new website.

Premiere

This weekend will see the first performance of his 'Loose Variants', for brass quintet and vibraphone, by the Wormshead Brass Ensemble.

The work is his latest in a series of chamber pieces began in 2009 following 'Two Winter Scenes' and 'Three Movements for Four Trombones'.

The next of the series, 'Riff Figures', will receive its premiere in London’s St. John Smith Square this October, performed by the Central Band of the RAF Brass Trio of Ben Godfery, Jonathan Pippen and John Truscott.
