VBS Poynton Band has welcomed two new players to their cornet ranks.

Rachel Hall joins on 2nd Cornet and Natalie Dodman joins on the front row.

The band has also recently updated its online presence with a new website, twitter and facebook pages.

The new website brings together news from the bandroom with details on the players, concerts, a history of the band, audio clips, gallery and information on Concert Brass (Poynton) (the sister band to VBS Poynton Band), in a user-friendly but informative and entertaining way.

The band’s webmaster, soprano player Adrian Horn, told 4BR: "In these days of online information it makes sense to use as many methods as possible to keep people informed about what you are doing. Using Twitter, Facebook and our own website allows us to get information to people in the format that they want."
