Geneva announced as National sponsors

Geneva Musical Instruments has been announced as the principal sponsor of the National Finals.

It has been announced that Geneva Instruments has stepped in as principal sponsor for the remainder of the 2010 National Finals series following the withdrawal of Schreiber & Keilwerth, which went into voluntary administration earlier this year.

Proud

Tim Oldroyd, the Company’s Managing Director, who has been involved with the music business for over 25 years, announced: "Geneva is extremely proud to be principal sponsor of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain."

He added: "We are very proud of Geneva instruments, in particular of the fact that they are hand-built in Britain. With our dedicated British workforce, we know that we are producing some of the finest instruments available on the market today and, once again, flying the flag for British Brass manufacturing.

"Geneva is a great British instrument company now sponsoring a Great British Championship for a great British and world-class movement."

We are happy to announce a headline sponsor in Geneva and two co-sponsors in Allianz and Yamaha. We hope that the three companies will continue supporting the National in 2011 and beyondPhilip Morris, Kapitol Promotions

Allianz and Yamaha to co-sponsor

Kapitol Promotions Ltd which runs the National Championships, also announced the addition of Allianz Musical Insurances as a co-sponsor alongside Yamaha, the latter sponsoring all percussion and technicians at the Finals for a second year.

Alison Andrew, Allianz’s Marketing Manager, commented: "Allianz is proud to be sponsoring the 2010 National Brass Band Championships.

"This prestigious event is one of the most important brass events in the musical calendar, containing some of the very best bands across different regions in the country and we are thrilled to be involved, so that we can continue our support for the brass community."

She added: "We would like to wish the very best of luck to all of this year’s participants and we hope that everyone enjoys the chance to perform with their band mates at what should be a very special event."

Also commenting upon Yamaha’s involvement, the Company¹s Marketing and Promotion Manager for its Band and Orchestral Division, Ian Frankland, stated: "Yamaha is delighted to support the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain for the second year running as ‘Percussion Sponsor’.

"This event is highly regarded as the world’s premier banding contest and we are keen to ensure that participating bands use only the highest quality of percussion."

Philip Morris of Kapitol Promotions reflected to 4BR: "We are happy to announce a headline sponsor in Geneva and two co-sponsors in Allianz and Yamaha. We hope that the three companies will continue supporting the National in 2011 and beyond."

April 3 • We have vacancies for a trombone player and a bass player. Cleethorpes Band rehearse near the seafront on Thursday and Sunday evenings. Placed 3rd in the NOE 4th section. Other players are always welcome as we may be able to switch positions around
