Bolsover Entertainment Contest

Just about everything is in place for the Bolsover Entertainment Contest.

Bolsover

Bolsover District Council is rapidly preparing for their 5th Festival of Brass, which is to be held on Sunday 3rd October.

The event will commence at 9.00am at both Pinxton Village Hall and the Post Mill Centre at South Normanton.

Record numbers

After withdrawals there are still 43 bands taking part this year, which will be recorded for CD. Action photography of the event will be taken by Ian Clowes and his team from www.Goldysolutions.co.uk

The images will all be available for free download from www.bolsover.gov.uk following the event so that bands can use the images for their own websites and for personal use such as Facebook etc.

Hardback book

Images of the day will be showcased in a limited edition hardback book, which will be presented after the event to the winners of each section. Paperback versions for all competitors will also be available.
