Fairey set for new home return

Fairey (Geneva) players could well return to a new home in time for the British Open...

Fairey Geneva Band

While the band members of Fairey (Geneva) Band are enjoying a well deserved five-week break before their preparations begin on their British Open challenge, construction of their new band room continues at breakneck speed to be on time to welcome them back for rehearsals.

New bandroom

The new bandroom is more or less an exact copy of the original in size and shape, although it will be constructed with all the latest energy saving materials and soundproof insulation.

The band members are looking forward to getting into the new facility as it will bring to an end an extended period of nomadic rehearsing and lugging of percussion equipment!Paul Warder

Looking froward

Paul Warder told 4BR: "The band members are looking forward to getting into the new facility as it will bring to an end an extended period of nomadic rehearsing and lugging of percussion equipment! We are sure it is going to a be a superb new home for the band."

Paul also added: "This is a good opportunity to re-thank all those companies, bands and individuals that have helped us either financially or with rehearsal facilities and equipment since the disastrous fire of last November.

There are far too many to give a nod to, but we thank each and everyone one of them."
