Last call for SBBA Workshop

There are still a few places up for grabs for SBBAs Tutor Workshop.

4BR has been informed that there are still a few places left for anyone wishing to attend the forthcoming Scottish Brass Band Association Workshop for Tutors, taking place on Sunday 30th of September at the Couper Institute in Glasgow.

Various aspects

The day runs from 10.00am till 5.00pm and covers various aspects of teaching young people how to play — from the first lesson through to playing in groups.

Aim

The day is aimed at those who teach (or want to teach) in youth bands, who have had no formal training and wish to learn useful techniques and gain helpful advice from two renowned experts, Lynda Nicholson and Alan Fernie.

The day runs from 10.00am till 5.00pm and covers various aspects of teaching young people how to play — from the first lesson through to playing in groupsSBBA

Cost

The cost is £25 per person, which includes lunch and refreshments, and only £20 per person if more than one person is attending from the same band.

Harlow Brass Band

November 8 • We have vacancies for CORNETS, TROMBONES, 2ND HORN AND PERCUSSION. We are a welcoming, non contesting band who organising their own Spring and Christmas concerts and enjoy playing at local events throughout the year.


West Wycombe Brass Band

November 8 • West Wycombe Brass Band are looking for players. Horn,Flugel and cornets. Non contesting friendly band with sensible engagement list. Wednesday rehearsal 7.45-9.45pm in own hall. Come along for a blow, all welcome.
