Paul stated: "I'm just completing my Master’s degree in Music Production at Leeds Metropolitan University and want the space to explore and develop other musical avenues."

He continued: "I’ve spent seven wonderful years with Black Dyke and enjoyed every minute of it.

I’m very grateful to everybody involved with my time there. Playing in Black Dyke has assisted greatly in my development as a musician and as a person. The friends, highlights and experiences will never be forgotten!"

Black Dyke's Director of Music Nicholas Childs added: "Paul is a wonderful musician with many special talents, and I hope even though there will be many new opportunities for him, Black Dyke could still be part of his career in the future."
