North West Area judges announced

The panel of adjudicators who will decide who goes through from the North West Area next March has been announced.

The North West Regional Committee have announced the team of adjudicators who will sit in judgement at the 2014 Regional Championships on Sunday 9th March at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.

Panel:

Championship Section: Jim Davies & Barry Thompson
First Section: Richard Marshall & Simon Kerwin
Second Section: Alan Morrison & Allan Holdsworth
Third Section: John Roberts & Stephen Brodie
Fourth Section: Gordon Higginbottom & Brian Rostron

4BR has been informed that due to Simone Rebello having to withdraw from the panel, Gordon Higginbottom has agreed to adjudicate in the Fourth Section.

The sections will take place in either in the Opera House, Empress Ballroom or Pavilion Theatre4BR

Welcome

A spokesperson told 4BR: "It has been a number of years since Gordon adjudicated at the North West Regional, due to conducting commitments, so we are delighted that he has agreed and we offer him a warm welcome."

They added: "The Regional Committee is also delighted to have the continued support of the teams of over 50 stewards, headed by Gary Walzcak, Ian Mason and Ian Pendlebury, who run the three halls on the day."

The sections will take place in either in the Opera House, Empress Ballroom or Pavilion Theatre.

November 6 • Petworth Town Band have vacancies for CORNETS and TUBA. We are a very active band with a very inspirational MD Paula Streeter. We rehearse once a week and would welcome all new players to the band
