Flowers set for BiC with new faces

West of England champion set for Brass in Concert return with a few changes in the playing ranks.

Flowers in action

As the West of England champion Flowers prepares to make the long trip to Gateshead for their return to the Brass in Concert Championship this weekend, the band has said a sad goodbye as well as a hearty welcome to a brace of players.

Flugel and baritone

Flugel player Will Norman has joined the current Brass in Concert, European and National Champions Cory on repiano cornet, having recently started his studies at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama — and in time to make his own debut with them at The Sage on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Chris Weston has come in on second baritone in the place of Lyndon Fletcher.

The band wishes Will well as he joins Cory and thank Lyndon for his dedication to the band not just as a player but also as Librarian, where his work was top classFlowers Band

Thanks

A spokesperson told 4BR: "The band wishes Will well as he joins Cory and thank Lyndon for his dedication to the band not just as a player but also as Librarian, where his work was top class.

We are sure that Chris will also enjoy a great time with the band."
