Packed response to Smithills

The latest concert promotion from Smithills School has seen them pack the audience into Bolton's Victoria Hall once again.

Over 200 musicians from Smithills School, led by their award winning Senior Brass Band under MD Chris Wormald, once again performed to a packed Victoria Hall in Bolton to help raise over £6,000 for Bolton Hospice and the band’s 2014 America concert tour fund.

The evening’s programme included marches ‘Army of The Nile’ and ‘Punchinello’ and the MD's arrangements of Mahler’s 'Resurrection' and massed finale of 'Les Miserables', featuring the Senior Band and the new 120-strong Smithills Community Choir, formed in September.
