The Crewe based Co-operative Funeralcare Band (North West) has received an award from the Holmes Chapel Branch of the Royal British Legion, in recognition of 30 years of service in leading the annual Remembrance Sunday Parade.

David Cooper, Parade Master, presented MD Jef Sparkes with a framed certificate following the parade this year, to mark the 30th anniversary of their community commitment.

Jef told 4BR: “The band is privileged to march through Holmes Chapel every Remembrance Sunday morning, and for many of us, this is the most special engagement in the band’s calendar.
